Eileen M. Bacino 78, of Boulder Hill died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by two daughters, Julia (Scott) Greenawalt and Amelia Neely; two stepdaughters, Marie Mancini and Diane Bacino; three grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, and Jacqueline; four step-grandchildren, Luke, Michael, Adam, and Britta; one sister, Elaine (the late James) Lieser; one brother, Roger (Sue) Matile; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bacino; the father of her children, Richard Neely; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence (Sylvia) Matile; two sisters in infancy; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William (Mabel) Holzhueter; and her paternal grandparents, William Matile and Anna Sadler.
Mrs. Bacino was born May 2, 1934 in Aurora. She attended Church School in Wheatland Township through the eighth grade and then Oswego High School, graduating with the Class of 1952. She graduated from the Copley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1955 and worked as a registered nurse at Copley Memorial Hospital and at the Dreyer Clinic in Aurora.
She was confirmed at the Wheatland United Presbyterian “Scotch” Church and was an active lifelong member of the congregation until her death. She was a member of the Copley Alumni Association, the Hilltop Garden Club, and the Oswegoland Heritage Association.

Family will be receiving guests Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Wheatland United Presbyterian Church 11839 S. Heggs Plainfield, IL starting at 9 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jack Lilley officiating. Private interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Aurora, IL. Arrangements are being handled by the Dieterle Memorial Home in Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Bacino’s memory may be made to the Copley Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association or to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
