Frederick Wendt

Frederick M. Wendt, beloved husband and father, 66, of Andover, Minnesota,  formerly of Aurora, passed away suddenly from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on February 19, 1948 in Aurora, IL the son of Herman and Ella Wendt. Fred worked for Layne Western for 20 years and was a member of the Operating Engineers for nearly 40 years. He had a passion for riding his Harley and he and his wife loved traveling across country. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Alice, his loving children John Wendt, Angela Wendt and Jennifer Wendt, his cherished granddaughter Hannah Wendt and 2 sisters Victoria Gallop and Melissa Wendt along with 3 nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister Christine Wilcox.
Family will be receiving guests on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Memorial Home with interment following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
