Kenneth Mills

Kenneth A. Mills, 70, of Yorkville passed away on November 1, 2012. He was born on January 31, 1942 in Aurora, IL the son of Burley and Edith Mills. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. Ken worked at Oberweis Dairy for many years before owning and operating Action Mower Service from 1982 to 2001. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his children Julie (Mark) Metzger, Beth (Mark) Prickett, Cindy (Kevin) Trim, and Gary (Melanie) Petrasek, Jr., grandchildren Michelle and Christy Fabricino, Matthew and Alex Metzger, Ashley, Mitch and Tyler Prickett, Hannah and Olivia Trim, and Clayton and CeCe Petrasek, and his brothers Don (Janice) Mills and Gene (Jane) Mills. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and countless warm and caring friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bertha Tallman and Howard Mills. Family will be receiving guests on Monday November 5, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral will be on Tuesday, November 6th at 11:00 am at the Memorial Home. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Rush Copley Medical Center for the compassionate and warm care that was given to them. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to the Fox Valley Animal Welfare League, 11 Johns Street North Aurora, IL.
