Tomasita Sosa

Tomasita Sosa, 76, of Aurora passed away surrounded by her family on June 23, 2014 after a courageous battle. She was born on December 11, 1938 in Puerto Rico, the daughter of Domingo Concepcion and Ruffina Montanez. She retired from Copley Hospital after 33 years of service. Tomasita was a devout catholic who was devoted to reading her Bible and reciting the Rosary, she was a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora for 49 years. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her small but mighty stature.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Jose Sosa, her children, Marysol (Julio) Montanez, Jose Sosa, Jr., Janet Ramirez, William Sosa, Tomasito (Angela Hernandez) Sosa and Luz Jesenia Sosa, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Arita (Zungo De Jesus) Concepcion, Justina Concepcion, Cristina Rodriguez, Andres, Juan, Pablo and Jorge Concepcion and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Domingo Sosa, and brothers Rufino and Urbano Concepcion.

Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral Mass will be on Friday June 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church , Aurora, IL . Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, IL.
