Carol S Musaraca
October 22, 1933 ~ July 4, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years OldCarol Sue Musaraca, 83, passed away on July 4, 2017 at Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on October 22, 1933 in Aurora, the daughter of Clyde and Bernice (Quick) Cigrand and the granddaughter of Dr. Bernard J. Cigrand, the founder of Flag Day. Carol attended East Aurora High School, class of 1951. She was a member of the Drama Club, French Club, and danced in musicals. Carol, a dance instructor, met Albert (“Al”) Musaraca, also a dance instructor, and were married for over 50 years. Carol and Al enjoyed ballroom dancing for many years with their close friends Bonnie and Fred Thomas. She also enjoyed cooking family dinners on birthdays and holidays. Carol, a homemaker, worked at Kohl’s after her three sons were grown. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Over the years, Carol was active in promoting the observance of Flag Day, then later in life she became active in conservation and politics. Carol is survived by her three sons, Michael (Deqing) Musaraca of Aurora, Perry Musaraca of Aurora, and Daniel (Kristine) Musaraca of Batavia, two grandchildren, Alison Musaraca and Andre Musaraca, and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather (Avolt Schuck), and her husband (Albert Musaraca). The family wishes to thank Deqing Musaraca, “Lolly” Bahney and By Your Side Home Care, Sheila White, RN and The Neighbors Next Door, the Presence Mercy Medical Staff, and Dr. Moore for the kind and compassionate care they provided. Family will be receiving guests on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral will be on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home, interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL
