Daniel L. Cortez

Daniel Cortez, 37 of Aurora, IL, passed away July 30, 2017 at his home after a short battle with cancer.  He was born September 5, 1979, son of Juan and Beverly (Walgren) Cortez.  He proudly served in the United States Marines for 4 years as a Military Police Officer.  He was employed by Eby-Brown as a warehouse manager for over 10 years.  He is survived by his parents, his wife, Andrea, 1 son Jackson, 1 sister Christina (Jose) Ortiz, 1 brother, Greg Cortez, a brother-in-law, Justin Kehl(Talea).  His in-laws, Jim and Laurie Kehl. Many nieces and nephews that considered him more of a brother than an uncle.  Dan is preceded in death by 1 bother, Johnny and both sets of grandparents and 1 uncle, David Walgren.  Family will be receiving guests Wednesday August 2 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL.  Funeral services will be Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home. Interment – Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
