Deja A Lewis

Deja A. Lewis, 19, of Calumet City formerly of Oswego passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 25, 2017. Deja was born on November 6, 1997 in Chicago Illinois to Merna Carson. Deja loved making stank faces, being on her phone with friends and family. Deja loved pizza, chicken nuggets and coffee. She was a very outgoing young lady. She attended and graduated from Oswego East High School in 2016. She was very excited about attending college. She was accepted and planned on attending Illinois State University but never got to further her education due to her illness. Deja was a loving grandchild, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She is preceded in death by her mother, Merna Carson. She is survived by her father; Johnny Carson; sister, Jasmine Patton; grandparents, Beautilyn and Cleon Forbes; aunties, Nadene, Vanessa, Yolanda, Danika and Tanisha; uncle, Durell (Jasmine Forbes); and cousins, Amanda, Jeffery, Jenelle, Cheldon, Donte, Noel Jr, Ethan, Elizbeth, Aniyah, Alana, Leilani and Aliyah.

Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral service will be on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial with burial following at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL.
