Gerry R. Blank

Gerry R. Blank, 94, of Aurora left her much loved family and friends to be with Jesus on April 5, 2024.  She was born September 25, 1929, in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Bill and Edith Schneider. Gerry had the best sense of humor and was one of the strongest women you would meet!  She loved spending time in Illinois and Florida with her family and making cookies, Granny Rolls and her famous chocolate cake; sewing and crafting with her bestie, Mona; and knitting and crocheting with her niece and devoted Caregiver, Cathy.  She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served when she was able. She is survived by her children Gary (Robin) Blank, Patty (Bryan) Harbin; grandchildren Zack (Val) Harbin, Seth Harbin and Alyssa (Cory) Fahlmark; great grandchildren Emery, Colbie and Rylee Fahlmark.  She also loved as her own Ann and Gary Bohr and their daughters Jess, Missi and Ali and their families and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, Wally and grandchildren Rachel, Tanner and Carly Blank. Family will be receiving guests on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church 85 S Constitution Dr. Aurora, IL 60506.  Burial will be at Noon on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery, IL.  Arrangements were entrusted to Dieterle Memorial Home.     For more information go to www.dieterlememorialhome.com.  630-897-1196
