Harold Gerhardt

Harold C. “Harry” Gerhardt, 60, of Aurora passed away on February 10, 2017. He was born on October 11, 1956 in Aurora, IL the son Christian and Emilie (Schmalz) Gerhardt. He was a diehard Chicago Blackhawks fan and found much enjoyment in his 1964 Chevy Super Sport.  Harry worked at Aurora Bearing Company for 18 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Wendy (Podschweit) of 25 years; his beloved dog, Buddy; siblings, Philip (Tina) Gerhardt, Rudy (Joyce) Gerhardt, Barb Orstead, Rose Gerhardt, Heide (David) Schmidt as well many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.  Family will be receiving guests on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at www.mda.org
