Ione Demberg

Ione Demberg, 96, of Montgomery, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Season’s Hospice of Naperville surrounded by her loving family.  She was born August 28, 1920 in Aurora, IL; daughter of Walter and Ethel (Hughes) Hilderbrand.  She was employed as an assembly line worker at Anchor Brush Company in Montgomery.  She enjoyed playing Old Maid with the grandkids, bowling and spending her winters in Florida with her husband Gerald.  She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gerald Sr; 1 daughter, Carolyn  (Jim) Messmer; 1 son, Jerry (Lenae); 1 sister, Evelyn Van Doozer; 5 grandchildren, Mark (Mary) Messmer, Carrie (Frank) Martinelli, Jennifer (Byron) Fiedler, Gus Demberg, Amy (Brandon) Wemken;  great grandchildren, Joshua (Imelda) Martinelli, Nicholas (Amanda) Martinelli, Zachary Martinelli, Jacob Fiedler, Jessica Fiedler, Allison (Tyler) Friedland, Amanda Messmer, Peyton Wemken, MacKenzie Wemken; and great-great grandchildren, Madison and Isaac Martinelli.  Ione is preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Leroy, Francis and James; and 1 sister, Pearl Burgin. Family will be receiving guests Friday, February 24, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 12:00 noon at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL.
