Jim Treest

James W. Treest 74, at rest November 5, 2012 at home in Yorkville, IL. surrounded by his loving family and friends, after a struggle with lung disease. He was born September 6, 1938 in Aurora, IL. the son of the late William and Leona Treest. Beloved wife of Wendy Treest (nee Hester), loving father of Rich (Kim) Wagner, Julie Lang, Jim JR. and  Joe (Terry) Treest. Dear brother of  Julie (Dale) Weber and Jeff (Mollie) Treest. Cherished grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 1. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Cindy Treest. Jim’s sense of humor and ability to make people laugh will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving as an Army Ranger. He was an Iron Worker member of Local #393 in Aurora, IL. Jim was an avid car buff and loved his animals. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Yorkville, IL. Family receiving guests Thursday November 8, 2012 from 10:30 AM until the time of his funeral service 12:30 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 Broadway Montgomery, IL. Interment St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery Montgomery, IL. In lieu of flowers all memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church 10104 Immanuel Rd. Yorkville, IL. or any Animal Rescue Organization of your choice.. Or simply do an act of kindness for someone in need, in Jim’s name.
