Joella Lynn Jordal, 46, of DeKalb, formerly of Aurora, IL passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at her home.  She was born March 30, 1970, the daughter of  Clarence and Dixie (Williams) Lawrence.  She attended Allen Grade School and West Aurora High School and went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Joella married Jamie Jordal on January 15, 2003 in Geneva.  Joella enjoyed gardening, flowers, her dogs, Patsy and Pearl and was an awesome cook.  Her mom was her best friend and anchor and she loved her unconditionally. She always looked forward to a fun loving competition with her mom.  Her greatest love was being a mom and especially a grandma.  Joella was always willing to help anyone in need. Her generosity and loving spirit was contagious and she was loved by everyone she ever came in contact with. Joella is survived by her husband, Jamie; 3 sons, Brendon Hofman, Michael Maier and Matthew (Rachel) Maier; her daughter, Rebecca Swanson and her husband Jose Perez; 8 grandchildren to include Kameron, Harper, Hallie, Lilliana and Wesley; mother and step father, Dixie (Larry) Lewis; step-daughter, Alyssa Jordal; 2 sisters, Pamela Bickett and Scheila Lawrence; brother, Clarence “Ricky” (Anne) Lawrence; step-sister, Sheila (Steve) Tricarico; 4 step-brothers,  Brian (Angie) Lewis, Chris (Liz) Lewis, Jon (Erin) Lewis and Jeremy (April June) Lewis; aunt Alice (John) Murphy, very special aunt Patricia Crawford and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a huge list of  friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence R. Lawrence and a daughter in infancy, Samantha Jo-Lynn Swanson.            Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S.
