I often dined at the Blue Lantern during the late '60s, early '70s. with a dear friend from work (Helen Seimo). John and Betty were wonderful hosts, providing both an enjoyable atmosphere and delicious food (their pepper steak remains the best I ever ate). I was sharing the memory of both the friendship and food just the other day and came to the internet to satisfy my curiosity as to the status of the restaurant (I've lived in SW Michigan for over 25 years). Betty, you have our deepest sympathy. Remember you and family well at Waubonsie School. We have moved to Stephenville, Texas to be near Lon, who is a doctor here. Ver is in nursing home and I am doing well.
