John Parker

John S. Parker, 68, of Aurora passed away on October 21, 2017. He was born on June 25, 1949 in Aurora, IL the son of Sylvester and Pearl (Cooper) Parker. He worked for Amoco BP research for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and listening to music.

He is survived by his wife Connie (Lara) of 47 years; children, Camille and Sylvester Parker and Marissa Benitez; sister, Lucretia (Uyless) Jenkins; brother, Walter Massie ; sisters -in-law, Carmen (Russ) Peterson, Anita (Mike) Henley, and Josephine Lara; brother-in-law, Francis Lara as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 27th at 10:00 AM at St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church 750 Old Indian Trail Rd. Aurora, IL. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
