I was so saddened to hear about Joe. We we're business acquaintances and hadn't spoken in a while so I was surprised when Dan Nahan called and told me the news. I want to let his family know that he was a great guy. You always think highly of your own Dad but don't always hear what his peers have to say. Joe was always energetic and positive. He had a nice laid back demeanor for a sales rep which I appreciate. I recall the first time I met him he came into our office with a big box of sticky buns from the local bakery in Philadelphia. He commented that he shouldn't have one because of a few extra pounds but ended up enjoying them with us. Just a nice all around good guy.
I hope all that he left behind can find comfort in the special memories that you have with him. Try to focus on the content of your time together and not the quantity.

I offer my deepest sympathies to all who knew Joe. Even tho I live on Winter Hill , I did not get the chance to really know Joe, except when he would come by my door asking for my vote for school board! I remember those as being friendly ,informative conversations. Blessings of comfort to all.

I was a print client of Joe's for many years in Cincinnati. He was a very special man, always a person of integrity, kindness, and thoughtfulness. His visits were unfailingly about the latest family news, travel plans and Packer exploits. He would come bearing bagels or donuts and certainly loved to entertain at ballgames and restaurants. He redefined the role of print salesman as confidant and advocate. Although he was a capable negotiator and problem solver, I counted him as a friend and really appreciated his sense of humor, counsel, and above all the love that flowed from his heart.
He was one of those special human beings that knew how to lift spirits and bring joy. Joe is forever stamped in my heart and I'm a better person because of knowing him.
