Julia R. Smith

Julia R. Smith, 48, of Montgomery passed away on November 27, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born on August 8, 1969 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Paul and Edith (Kelly) Smith. Julia had a heart of gold, she was hospitable and always put others ahead of herself. She loved cooking for others and spent many years in the hospitality business. She worked at Kinder Care, Chesterbrook Academy and most recently Goddard School and she was known for her hard work ethic. She loved concerts, cookouts, swimming and time spent with family. She will be deeply missed but her spirit will live on in those she touched.

She is survived by her daughters, Alexis (Benjamin) Rafferty and Shiann Eichelberger; husband, Frankie Eichelberger; parents, Paul and Edith Smith; brother, Ryan Smith; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family will be receiving guests from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will be private.
