Kathleen "Kay" KaiserJuly 28, 1917 ~ August 9, 2017 (age 100)
Family and friends mourn the loss of Kathleen Marie (Kay) Kaiser, July 28, 1917 – August 9, 2017. Fiercely independent and true to her values, Kay died peacefully at McAuley Manor under the caring eyes of dear friends. Only 10 days earlier she had celebrated her 100th birthday over two days filled with love and good wishes from her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her parents, Anna and Walter Wolf as well as her sister, Shirley (Mrs. George) Cook. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn (Mrs. Timothy) McDonnell, grandson, David McDonnell and granddaughter, Lee Sizer as well as four great granddaughters, Avery and Norah Sizer of Dallas, Texas and Dorothy and Gertrude McDonnell of Cincinnati, Ohio. Kay thrived on doing for others including her many years of volunteer service for The Episcopal Church of St. David in Aurora. She held offices for the Women of the Moose and supported the activities of the Aurora Elks Club. She retired at the age of 85 after over 50 years of service to the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce. She was indeed a “memorable woman.” In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. David Episcopal Church, 737 N. Randall Rd, Aurora, IL 60506. Visitation, Thursday August 17, 2017 from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL.
