Ken Christy

Ken M. Christy, 71, passed away suddenly March 26, 2016 at Presence Medical Center surrounded by his family.  Ken was born September 18, 1944, Son of Ken and Carmella (DeGrazia) Christy. Ken was employed by the Aurora Post Office as a Letter Carrier for over 35 years. He was the Aurora Township Clerk, past President of NALC Union local 219, and current President of the NALC for the State of Illinois.  Ken was very involved in Politics, Volunteering, and raising money for many charities. Whatever the situation, Ken was always there to provide a helping hand. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Charmaine (the late Ed) Pliska, Margaret (Mike) Chase, and 1 brother Lawrence Christy. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Bonnie, 3 daughters; Kristin (Dion) Hadley, Kathleen (Ken) Steil, Karrie (Dave) Campbell and 5 grandchildren; Sara Steil, Ken Steil III, Michael Squires, Jennifer Steil, and Ally Hadley.  Many nieces nephews and other relatives. Family will be receiving guests Thursday March 31, 2016, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL  Funeral Friday April 1, 2016 at Our Lady of God Counsel ,11:00 am mass. Interment  private.
