Thomas E Bromann

Thomas Ellery Bromann, age 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Aurora, IL, surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 4, 1947 to Theodore and Eleanor (Sperka). Tom was a graduate of St. Rita High School. On June 10, 1967 he married Angela Maria Dobrich, and together they had two sons. Tom enjoyed bowling, billiards and spending meaningful time with his family and many close friends. He was an ardent fan of Chicago sports teams and was able to see his beloved Cubs finally win a World Series. In 1999 he moved to Aurora, where he resided until his passing. Throughout his life, Tom had a passion for helping others, being a good friend to all and demonstrating that life is lived best when viewed with a sense of humor and optimism. He served his country proudly and with distinction in Vietnam as a member of the US Army 120th Aviation Company, "The Deans," based in Saigon. He is preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Eleanor, and by his brother Theodore Jr. He is survived by his sons Tom Jr (Crysta) and Paul (Kirsi); sister Maryann Demas; grandchildren Grace, Matthew, Aaro, Leo and Hayley; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive guests on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 19th at 10:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
