William Cocks

William Thomas Cocks “Tom”, 78, of Aurora passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 1, 2017. He was born on March 31, 1939 in Jackson, TN the son of Den and Liz Cocks. Tom worked for R. W. Wilson Company and retired after many years of dedicated service. He and his late wife Sally were able to fulfill a lifelong dream of owning their own resort in Tomahawk WI. They ran Tom and Sally’s Hideaway together happily for twenty-one years before moving back to Aurora. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling. Tom was also a lifelong member of the Tiger Club. He is survived by his children; Dennis (Cathy), Thomas (Cindy), William (Sarah), and Jennifer Cocks (Jim Deering) and Jeffery Cocks, seven grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and one due in October; and sisters, Nancy (the late Wallace) Bartlett and Mary (James) Walsh as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Sally.
Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family(payable to William Cocks) for future considerations.
