Alberta R. Cragno

Alberta R. Cragno, 97, of Oswego, IL passed away on October 22, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 4, 1924 in Leon, France the daughter of Romano and Aliche Ventorini. She was raised during WWII and became a servant girl in Rome under Mussolinis rule. During that time she learned to become a very creative person and also learned to speak 3 languages. Gardening was among her favorite hobby and she took great pride in her colorful yard. She was an experienced Taylor, loved to cook and had a passion for animals.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Gress, grandson, Randolph Gress; nephews, Johnny and David Lobner and their families as well as many special relatives in Italy, Switzerland and Germany. She is preceded in death by her husband Antonio Cragno and sister, Bianca Vanilli.

Family will be receiving guests on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will be private.
