Alfonso Saltijeral

Alfonso Saltijeral 79, of Aurora passed away on January 7, 2021. He was born in Mexico on March 19, 1941 the son of Francisco and Apolonia (Sanchez) Saltijeral. He retired from Caterpillar after many years of dedicated service. He is survived by his children; Jose A. Saltijeral, Eduardo (Ralph Faillo) Saltijeral, Adriana (Martin) Valentin, Fernando (Christina) Saltijeral, Gabriela (Thomas Hernandez) Saltijeral, and Alma C. Saltijeral; grandchildren, Monica, Celina, Ariela, Vanessa, Mya, Teddy, Ethan, and Anaya; 1 great-grandchild F. Vicente; former wife Magdalena C. Saltijeral. He is also survived by siblings; Frank (Shelly) Saltijeral, Carmen (Felipe) Rocha, Jesse (Betty Jo) Saltijeral, Lupe (the late Nicolas) Gomez and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Saltijeral as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny Saltijeral.

Family will receive guests on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. A graveside service will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
