Ann Larsen

Ann G. Larsen, 99, of Aurora passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Presence McAuley Manor, in Aurora, IL.  She was born on September 5, 1919 in Aurora, IL.  Her parents were Anna and Peter Guzaukas who immigrated from Lithuania and settled in Aurora.  She married Lawrence Larsen on October 19, 1946 and enjoyed the next 54 years together until his passing in 2000. She worked many jobs during her life, a cost accountant, sales clerk, nurse’s aide, Cigarette girl at Hotel Aurora and factory assembly employee.  She studied art in Chicago and one of her sketches was on display at the Art Institute.  Her hobbies were cooking, baking, sewing, and gardening.  Ann’s favorite hobby was studying people’s horoscope. When she met someone new, she asked their birthdate to know their zodiac sign.   She loved her family and enjoyed her camping trips to Colorado.   She was very devoted to her family up to her death.  She touched the hearts of everyone that she knew.  Her nicknames were “The Angel” and “Miss America”. She always had a positive attitude.  She will be dearly missed. She is survived by two sons, Gregory (Kristine) Larsen of Oswego, IL; Devin (Jeannine) Larsen of Montgomery, IL; six grandchildren, Trish Larsen (Ryan Johnson); Devin (Rebecca) Larsen, Jr.; Leia (Kristen) Larsen; Kayla (Micah) Osbron; Maxwell Larsen; Lauren Larsen; three great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kyra and Lincoln. She was preceded in death by an older sister, Isabelle, in 1918, her parents, Anna and Peter, her sister Olga (Alice), and husband Lawrence. Family will be receiving guests Tuesday October 23, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway Montgomery.
