Anthony Earl McKnight Jr.

Anthony Earl McKnight Jr, 21, passed away August 24, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL. He was born December 9, 1999 in Aurora, IL, the son of Anthony McKnight Sr. and Rashanea Lishman. He graduated from Aurora West High School and was enrolled to study HVAC Systems to receive his repairman’s license. Anthony enjoyed music, family, friends, his only nephew (Josiah), and shoes!

He is survived by his parents; 3 brothers, Keyonte Parker, Prince Parker, Tony McKnight; 2 sisters, Audrey Parker, Katherine Ballard; a nephew, Josiah Hampton; 2 grandmothers, Nellie Lishman-Davis and Geraldine Howell; a grandfather, Robert Earl Howell; a godmother, D’Anntanette Lee; 8 uncles, Joe Lishman, Germaine Lishman, Anthony Gardner, Shun Gardner, Scotty James, Rick James, Donell Lishman, Lamont Lishman; 6 aunts, Latricia Stone, Latonya Gardner, Jereca Lishman, Carolyn McKnight, Shelia McKnight, Angela McKnight; special friend, Nina Escareno; and many other relatives.

Anthony is preceded in death by 2 grandfathers, Perry Martin Davis and Freddie B. McKnight; a grandmother, Geneva McKnight; an uncle, Terri McKnight; an aunt, Cynthia Gardner-Pegues; 2 cousins, Ryan Lishman and Davion Lewis; and many other relatives and friends.

Family will be receiving guests on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S Broadway Ave, Montgomery, IL 60538.
