Arlene Simonson

Arlene Simonson 83, of Aurora, Passed away on October 6, 2018 was born on February 13, 1935 in Vernon County, WI the oldest daughter of William and Charlotte (Fry) Russell. She was a dedicated and active member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Montgomery for many years. While raising her children, she enjoyed babysitting and cleaning houses for others. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Emil Simonson; children, Laurel (Mike) Doran, Martin (Kathleen) Simonson, Gregory (Marcy) Simonson and John Simonson; grandchildren, Amy, Matt, Chris, Stacey, Jayson, Lynne, Benjamin and Gabriel; 10 great-grandchildren and siblings, Verlene, Joanne, Jane, Betty, David and Daniel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Simonson, grandson Ryan Michael Simonson and siblings, Billy, Leon, Sheron, Robert, and Jerry. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 3:00 pm at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 1233 Douglas Road, Montgomery,IL. Arrangements entrusted to Dieterle Memorial Home.
