Ascencion Marungo

Ascencion Marungo (Chonita) fue llamada a  la casa de Dios a la edad de 61 años en el hospital Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora IL.

Nacida en El Zape Chico, Guanacevi, DGO, MX en Mayo 26 de 1960. Hija de Asuncion Sosa y Pedro Marungo.

Chonita era una madre y abuelita amorosa. Y la mas bondadosa hermana, tia y la mejor suegra. 

Chonita dedico su vida a sus  3 hijos, Cesar Aguirre (Maria Aguirre), Rigoberto Aguirre (Angelica Romero) y Javier Aguirre Jr. También a sus nietos Cesar Jr, Ivan, Joannalyn, Javier è Isabel Aguirre. 

Precedida en muerte por su mamá  y  papá  y también sus hermanos Jesus Manuel (Chumel) and Macedonio Marungo.Le gustaba escuchar musica  y pasar tiempo con su familia. 

Chonita se retiro la Aurora University en el 2019 donde trabajo en mantenimiento por 20 años. 

Chonita fue una guerrera y lucho contra la enfermedad (ELA) ALS por mas de 2 años. Enfrento y acepto su enfermedad con su fe puesta en Dios. 

Ella siempre sera recordada como una gentil pero fuerte guerrera quien hizo hasta los imposible por sacar a sus hijos adelante. 

Ascencion Marungo (Chonita) passed away peacefully at the age of 61 at Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora IL.  She was born in El Zape Chico, Guanacevi, DGO, MX on May 26,1960,the daughter of Asuncion Sosa and Pedro Marungo.   Chonita is a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and the most supportive mother in law. 

She dedicated her life to her 3 sons, Cesar Aguirre (Maria Aguirre), Rigoberto Aguirre (Angelica Romero) and Javier Aguirre Jr. also her grandkids Cesar, Ivan, Joannalyn, Javier and Isabel Aguirre. 

She is preceded in death by her mom and dad and siblings Jesus Manuel (Chumel) and Macedonio Marungo.

She enjoyed music and spending time with her family. 

She retired as a custodian from the Aurora University in 2019 where she worked for 20 years. 

Chonita always had a strong spirit and she battled ALS for more than 2 years like a real trooper. She faced and accepted her illness in the faith of God.  She will be fondly remember as a kind and warrior woman who would do everything and anything for her children. 

Visitation will be on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Dieterle Memorial Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon.   Burial will follow at Spring Lake Cemetery in Aurora, IL.  For more information please go www.dieterlememorialhome.com  630-454-9441
