Austin Henry Willmann
On Thursday, August 23, 2018 Austin Willmann of Montgomery, Illinois passed away suddenly
at the age of 26 years. Austin is survived by his parents Scott and Eve (Huppert) Willmann,
sister, Katelyn Willmann, fiancée, Alanna Savino and daughter Sloane due in September. He will
also be remembered by his grandfather Hank Willmann, grandmother Shirley Rosenow, and
numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal
grandparents Doran and Catherine Huppert.
After graduating from Oswego High School in 2010 Austin went on to work as a Welder at
Caterpillar in Montgomery. After almost 7 years at Caterpillar, he then went on to work as a
Diesel Mechanic at McNeilus where he earned a degree in Diesel Mechanics. Austin and Alanna
went to school together since Junior High and knew each other for over 14 years before they
started dating. They were planning a wedding for November 10th of this year and expecting their
first child in September.
Austin worked hard and played hard. On the weekends, if he wasn’t hanging out at his parent’s
house with a beer in hand and surrounded by friends and family, then you could usually find him
cruising around on his Harley with the music on full blast or fishing down at The Lucky 50 Club.
He never sugar coated anything and made friends wherever he went. He brought out the best in
everyone and he’d drop anything and everything to help friends or family. His one of a kind
laugh was contagious and his squinty smile was unique. If you were lucky enough to know him
then you know he had a larger than life personality and an even bigger heart.
Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, August 28th from 3:00pm-8:00pm at Dieterle
Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral service will be on
Wednesday, August 29th at 11:00am at Dieterle Memorial Home. Interment will follow at
Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the GoFundMe account
that has been set up for his baby girl, Sloane.
