Betty Jean Elliott

Betty Jean (Hill) Elliott, 90, of Big Rock, IL passed away on June 19, 2018 at Presence Fox Knoll Retirement Community in Aurora. She was born in a rural farm house in central Iowa on November 21, 1927 the daughter of Carl and Elizabeth (Minker) Hill. She attended country school in Iowa Center, IA, and high school in Maxwell, IA. She worked for the Iowa Continental Telephone Company in Nevada, IA. She married Donald Elliott on December 23, 1949.

Betty loved being outdoors and loved the woods and the countryside. Her most memorable and enjoyable moments was time spent on the farm helping her father.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Gary) Kiefer of Aurora, grandson, Richard Elliott Tanner of Schaumburg, sister, Darlene Marshall and nephews, Wesley and Carl D. Marshall all of Maxwell, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald, daughter and son-in-law Vicki (Harold) Mundell and brother, Carl Hill, Jr.
