Carolyn A. Walker

Carolyn A. Walker, 62, of Aurora, IL passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2021. She was born on July 7, 1959 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Samuel and Pauline (Sanders) Vinson. Carolyn graduated from West Aurora High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree from Aurora University and later went on to receive her Masters from Northern Illinois University. In 2019, she retired from Nancy Hill Elementary after many years of dedicated service. Carolyn was a beautiful soul with a servant’s heart who saw the good in everyone. She was devoted in all that she did whether it was teaching children or raising her own boys and she did everything with such grace. She will always be remembered for her selflessness, kindness, compassion, and empathy for others. The world was a better place because of Carolyn.

She is survived by her beloved sons; Miles and Matthew (Tiffanie) Neil, siblings, Belinda (Lawrence) Robinson and Samuel (Julie) Vinson as well as many nieces, nephews and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Anthony Walker.

Due to current restrictions, the family will be receiving guests with a drive-thru wake on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. You are asked to enter in the south entrance of the funeral home and remain in your vehicles the entire time, you will be directed upon arrival. A private funeral and burial will take place on Friday.
