Catherine McCully

Catherine H. McCully, 88, of Aurora, passed away Sunday August 20, 2017.  She was born July 26, 1929, daughter of Raymond and Harriet (Barber) Gray. Catherine was a 1947 graduate of East Aurora High School and attended Western Illinois University. She had an Associates of Arts degree in Liberal Arts.  She was a member of the Kane County election board for many years.  Among her hobbies were quilting, sewing, photography and roller figure skating.  She is survived by a daughter, Effie, a grandson, Anthony, and a sister, Ramona (Maggie) Bowers, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edgar.  A graveside service will take place Tuesday August 29, 2017 at West Batavia Cemetery in Batavia.
