Catherine M. White

Catherine Marie White of Montgomery, IL, passed away on February 13, 2018. Catherine was born on January 15, 1926 to Maurice and Margaret Morrissey in Brooklyn, N.Y. After graduating from high school, she moved to California where she met and married Jack D. White. They raised three children in California in the decade of the 1950’s. After returning to Aurora in 1960, a fourth son was born on December 3, 1967 at Copley Hospital. Catherine always remembered family birthdays, anniversaries and other important milestones and loved marking them with carefully selected cards. Reading was her passion. Catherine’s biggest joy was her family. They maintained a summer cottage on Lake Mary at Twin Lakes in Wisconsin where their children and grandchildren learned to swim and water ski.

Catherine is survived by her husband Jack D. White of Montgomery, and four sons, Donald (Mary Ellen) of Naperville, John (Colleen) of Sugar Grove, Thomas (Vicki) of Des Plaines, and Jim (Lynn) of Tampa, FL; five grandsons, three granddaughters, and three great-grandsons. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Peggy Droisum and brother, James Morrisssey. There will be no services. A private inurnment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
