Catherine "Kay" M. Adams

Catherine M. Adams “Kay”, 97, of Sugar Grove, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on August 11, 2017. She was born on July 14, 1920 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Henry and Kate Brown. She was a West Aurora High School graduate. Kay was united in marriage to Ted Adams on December 30, 1944 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Aurora. In her former years she worked at Equipto, AT&T and then spent 21 years at R&M Kaufman as an avid server. She was a member of the Friendly Center Club where she made many friends and she also belonged to the Mother Cabrini Club for 60 years. Kay was a longtime member of At. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego.

She is survived by her daughter Lynn (Dave) Armbrust, grandsons, Brian and Jason Bailey and Godson David Roe. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Ted, son Alan Adams, grandson, Ryan Bailey and brother, Henry Brown, Jr.

Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. A private interment will take place at Mt. Olivet where she will be laid to rest next to her husband and son.
