Christopher A. Boykin

Christopher A. Boykin, 40, passed away on February 17, 2021. He was born on March 14, 1980 the son of Johnny and Sandra (Bennett) Boykin. He was raised and attended schools in the Westmont area. He was a lover of sports and especially loved the Chicago White Sox, Bears and Bulls. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and for the past 15 years worked for Comcast as a technician. He was united in marriage on October 17, 2009 to Shiovhan Burton. Chris was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother and will be missed by so many.

He is survived by his wife Shiovhan; daughter Khloe; parents, Johnny and Sandra Boykin; brother, Jonathan (Jeanise)Boykin, grandmothers, Annie Boykin and Ruby Bennett, mother-in-law Gloria Burton and sister-in-law Crystal Burton. He is also survived by favorite uncle, Charles David Boykin, Sr., Pamela Bennett, Robin (Tommy) Scott, and Samuel Bennett, Jr. as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers; Johnny Boykin, Jr. and Samuel L. Bennett; sister-in-law Misty Boykin and cousin and best friend Charles David Boykin, Jr.

Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, IL. Due to current restrictions, a limited number of guests will be allowed in the chapel at a time. Facemasks and social distancing are required.
