Colleen M. Buhrke

Colleen Marie Hensel-Buhrke (61), formerly of Sandwich, IL and recently residing in Montgomery, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2020. She was a loving mother, fiancé, sister, daughter, aunt, grandma and friend. She loved traveling, spending time with family and friends, monkeys, smiling, pranking her loved ones, her faith, reminiscing, smoking cigarettes, her fur babies, and helping others. She was a lifelong member of the New Apostolic Church. She never lost or questioned her faith during long battle with MS. She is preceded in death by her father Willard “Fuzzy” Hensel, mother Phyllis Hensel, and her sister Cheryl Stephano. She is survived by her fiancé Michael Winn, sons Derek (Arranda) and Jason (Heather) Buhrke, sister Chris (Bill), brothers Craig (Alley), Carey (Donna), and Willard (Gloria) Hensel, and many nieces, nephews and grandkids. Step-sons Brian (Ray) and Bruce (Lisa) Winn.To know her was to love her. She will be missed dearly. Private ceremony will be held for immediate family only.
