Dale Watson

Dale Alan Watson, 69, of Aurora, Illinois, entered heaven from his home on Friday, March 23, 2018. The son of Howard Hubert & Ellene Lucille Watson, he was born June 22, 1948 in Aurora, IL. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Hubert Watson and grandson Derrick Xavier Watson.

Dale and Sherry celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on Wednesday March 21st.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherry Watson of Aurora; Son, John (Jennifer) Watson; daughter, Jean (Derek) Taylor all of Arkansas; Mother, Ellene Watson; sister, Carol (Butch) Smerkonich; brother, Gary (Debbie) Watson all of Colorado; Grandchildren, Mandy Keeling, Kyle Keeling, Allen Taylor, Ethen Taylor, Nikki Watson, Jessi Watson, Ashlee Watson, Nathan Watson; Great grandchildren, Abriana Watson, Linzey Martin, all of Arkansas; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Dale asked Jesus into his heart as a young child. He trusted the Lord through every mountain high and through every valley low. His favorite thing to do was take the grandkids to his shop and create special unique projects with them. From bottle rocket launchers, to whistles, small games, wooden swords and wooden hand etches. Dale enjoyed driving his cobra and mustang and flying his Ultralight air plane in his younger years. Dale was extremely smart and talented as he could sit and study an object, sketch a blue print and create a wooden or metal replica.

Visitation will be March 29, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 South Broadway Montgomery, IL 60538. Graveside Service officiated by Wes Kennedy on Thursday March 29, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Lincoln Memorial Park 675 Route 30, Aurora, IL 60506.
