Daniel C. Hager passed away suddenly on February 22, 2021 at the age of 59.

He graduated in 1982 from the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale IL in 1986. He worked as a Maintenance Manager at Quikrete in Elburn for 15 years, doing what he loved, designing equipment and improving processes.

Dan is survived by his wife, Kimille; their beloved daughter, Kirbie; his mother, Kay; sisters, Lise (Mario), Kim (Phil), Brook (Joe); brother, Derrick and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father David.

As an accomplished engineer, Dan loved building things including his family home, spending time in the kitchen creating lovely meals for family gatherings. He enjoyed collecting guns and spending time with his brother at the shooting range. He loved traveling, dinning out and the occasional horseback ride.

Visitation will be at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S Broadway Rd, Montgomery, IL 60538 Tuesday, May 11 from 5:00-8:00pm. The funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 12 at St Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL, followed by burial at the Risen Lord Cemetery; 1501 Simons Rd, Oswego, IL   Due to current restrictions, a limited number of guests will be allowed in the funeral home at a time, please pay your respects in a timely manner, please also wear a face mask and practice social distancing.   www.dieterlememorialhome.com  630-454-9361
