David (Sr.) Barbosa

David Barbosa, Sr. 61 of Aurora, Illinois passed away on July 28, 2020. He was born on November 15, 1958 in McAllen, Tx to Bonifacio and Guadalupe Barbosa. David was known by many and loved by all. If you met him once you never forgot him. His smile and pride of being a Tejano was as big as his Texas heart. If you didn't run into him having breakfast or lunch at his favorite restaurant Teca you would run into him at the roulette table at the casino.  David’s prides and joys were his family. David’s hunger for success was evident when he enrolled at DeVry University and graduation with a technical degree in 1989. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to create DeTech Incorporated, a security company. His work ethic proved to be the backbone of his company. A proud owner and businessman David provided for his family until his very last days.  David is survived by his loving wife Rachel Barbosa; his children Sarah A. Barbosa, David Barbosa Jr., Marisa Pedroza, Annabelle Rubio and his son-in-law Jose Rubio; his grandchildren, Anthony, Damian, Sergio, Elijah, Jacob, Nathan, Larissa, Mariah, Jalissa, Clarissa, Alinah, Aliana and Alyssa; his sibling's Bonifacio, Arturo, Raul and Danny Barbosa and  Yolanda Barbosa Bermudez and Liliana Barbosa. As well as many loving nieces and nephews that he held close to his heart.  He is preceded in death by his first wife Ramona R. Barbosa, Parents Bonifacio and Guadalupe Barbosa, his siblings Dominga Salinas, Hector and Javier Barbosa. The family would like to express their gratitude towards all his friends and family for the words of comfort during this difficult time. Family will be receiving guests Friday August 7, 2020 from 3pm until time of service at 7pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery. Due to pandemic restrictions, we ask that everyone who enters the funeral home to wear a mask.
