Deborah S. Perez

Deborah S. Perez, 54 of North Carolina, formally of North Aurora, passed away at her home on Thursday July 21, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Peoria, IL; daughter of Robert and Maggie (Brumit) Thomas. Debbie held many positions in law enforcement, most notably as a Police Officer with The Aurora Police Department. She was an avid runner; participating in many marathons and triathlons. Debbie enjoyed scrapbooking, kayaking and visiting places that had a deep historical background. Debbie is survived by her husband of 2 years, John, Her mother Maggie, a daughter Molly, her in laws Ben (Jane) Perez Jr., 2 brothers - in - law; Ben A. (Kate) and Jeff (Sophie). 2 nephews; Sam and Rennik, 2 nieces; Stella and Raquel and her 3 cats which were all named after key Chicago Blackhawks players ; Alex, Taser and Tanner. Family will be receiving guests Saturday July 30, 2022 from 10am until time of service at 12pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway in Montgomery.
