Diane Roman

Diane Lee Roman, 76, of Aurora, IL passed away, Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Jennings Terrance in Aurora.  She was born April 1, 1947 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Grace (D’Orio) Stearns.  She graduated from East Aurora High School in 1965.  Diane volunteered at St. Therese and St. Nicholas.  She was a teachers assistant at Dietrich Elementary School for District 131 in Aurora.  She was a long-time employee at Earthmover Credit Union in Aurora. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Aurora.   She was an avid reader, loving wife and mother. 

She is survived by 2 sons, Steven (Karen Woodworth-Roman) Torres-Roman and Theodore Roman, and their father, Jovino Roman; 2 grandchildren, Alex and Lyla, and their mother Katy; her brother, William (Mary) Stearns; and several nieces and nephews.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Stephen Oltraver and her sister, Patricia Oltraver.

According to her wishes, there will be no services.   A private Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
