Diego Barrera

Diego Barrera, 58, of Aurora, IL passed away on May 4, 2021. He was born November 13, 1962 in Mexico City, Mexico. Diego had a passion for soccer. He loved to play soccer, watch soccer, referee soccer for people of all ages—from youth to adult, and was a member of the Soccer Federation League.

Diego is survived by his wife of 23 years, Connie Barrera; Connie’s daughter, Josey Herrera; and Connie’s grandchildren, Ayanna Herrera, A.J. Herrera, Jullin Uriba, Mario Jr. Uriba, and Justin Herrera. He is preceded in death by his parents; Connie’s daughter, Reyna Herrera; and his mother-in-law, Martha.

Family will be receiving guests on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 4:00 PM until time of service at 5:30 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. A service will take place from 5:30 PM until 6:00 PM also at Dieterle Memorial Home. Following the service, the visitation will then resume from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home.
