Dolores Whipple, 96, of Aurora, passed away October 28, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 19, 1922, daughter of Leo and Bereneice (Farnsworth) Nash. She was first employed at The Stoner Manufacturing Company during World War II, manufacturing bullets for rifles and machine guns. Later in life, Dolores was employed at several of the large retail stores as well as being employed at Western Electric Company as an inspector for over 20 years. She enjoyed working with all kinds of crafts. Dolores was an active member of The Senior Friendly Center in Aurora for 25+ years. Dolores is survived by 1 son, Richard Jr., (Charlene), 2 daughters, Dannis (Rod) Gatenby, Wendy (the late Kurt) Fitzgerald. 8 grandchildren; Tonya, Matthew, Aaron (Katie), Ryan (Kim), Griffin (Kelley), Elizabeth (Jon) Curtis, Suzanne Human and Jennifer (the late Brandon) Slatton and daughter – in law, Bonnie Hiltenbrand. 12 great grandchildren; Alexis, Mason, Gabriel, Declan, Henry, Elsie, Emily and Ayden, Nikolas, Lorali, Gene and Emilyn. 1 brother, Leo Nash, 4 sisters, Marilyn Polivka, Kenlyn Nash-Demeter, Peggy (Dennis) Gatenby, and Kathleen (Phil) Cooley. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years; Richard Sr., 2 sisters; Joan, Dorothy Kroening and 1 granddaughter; Samantha Gatenby. Family will be receiving guests Thursday November 1, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery. Funeral Mass Friday November 2, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment – Mt Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
