Donald R Anderson

Donald R. Anderson, 92, of Oswego, IL passed away on March 8, 2018 surrounded by family. He was born on December 31, 1925 in Hinsdale, IL the son of Donald and Lillian (Bullerman) Anderson. As a young teenager Don accepted Jesus Christ as his eternal Savior. He was raised in LaGrange Park, IL where and it was there that he met June Kehres. They were married at LaGrange Baptist Church in 1950. He graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He retired in 1984 from Nalco as a chemical engineer after 34 years of dedicated service.  In 1961 the couple moved to Oswego to raise their family. Don became very involved with Oswego Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and traveling and loved the outdoors. He was dedicated and committed to his faith and was a very active member of Harvest Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for many years and was on the building and grounds committee.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son Larry (Peggy) Anderson, grandchildren, Blair (Jeff) Diggle, Jamie (Brian) Hartsell, Melissa (Tom) Brown, and Ryan (Kaitlin) Anderson and great –grandchildren Luke, Logan, Lincoln and Libby Diggle, Macy, Jude and Annie Hartsell, Michael, Kyle, and Piper Brown, and Evelyn and August Anderson. He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife June and daughter Roberta Jean Anderson.

Family will be receiving guests on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Harvest New Beginnings, 5315 Douglas Rd. Oswego, IL 60534. Funeral service will be on Monday, March 12, 2018at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 until the time of service at Harvest. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park.
