Doris E Edwards

Doris E. Edwards, 91, of Danville, IL formerly of Aurora passed away on November 15, 2018. She was born on August 20, 1927 in Sandwich, IL the daughter of Ray and Lillian (Elwood) Minnich.  She married Robert Edwards on October 22, 1947 they spent the next 68 years together before his passing in 2015. After graduating high school she was a secretary for an attorney in Batavia, she later was the secretary at Park Place Baptist Church for many years. She then went on to work for Western Electric and retired in 1992 after many years of dedicated service. Doris enjoyed flower gardening, crafting, traveling and camping and she and Robert spent the winters in Florida.

She is survived by her children; Karen (Mike) Welch, Kathy (Roy) Lappe, Kandi (Andy) Dunavan and Kristi (Tom) VandenBerg, grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Crittenden, Natalie(Travis) Goestenkors, Nicole (Josh) Hughes, Brian(Brooke) Dunavan, Sarah Dunavan, Robert VandenBerg, Beth (Mark) Stratmann, and Becky VandenBerg, 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 nieces Linda (Pat) Walker and Carol Haff. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert.

Family will be receiving guests on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL.
