Dorothy L. Ingraham, age 91, died peacefully on April 27, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born in Aurora on July 14, 1926 to Frank and Margaret (Weiler) Frieders. She attended Madonna High School. She met her husband of 62 years, Eugene W. Ingraham, when they both worked at the "CB & Q" railroad in Aurora. She was a devoted wife and a loving Mother to her children whom Gene called “Our Lucky 11.” In her 40’s she learned to drive and started working at Colonial Caterers with her mother, Margaret, and her sister, Audrey Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, on January 7, 2010 and is survived by her children: William (Sandy) Ingraham of Newark; Mary (Ed) Kackert; Robert (Kathy) Ingraham; Martha Ingraham; Nancy (the late Ken) May, all of Aurora; John Ingraham of Janesville, WI.; Sharon Ceranek of Batavia; Joseph (Daelynn) Ingraham of Shabbona; Therese (Tim "Frosty") Blake of Aurora; Pam (Tim) Julien of Chesapeake, VA.; and Paul (Cindi) Ingraham of Sugar Grove. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and by two sisters, Lois Curry and Joyce Dore. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Donald, James and John Frieders, and a sister, Audrey Weisbrook, and her son-in-law, Ken (Nancy) May.
Visitation will be held at Dieterle Memorial Home in Montgomery on Monday, April 30, 2018, from 2 - 7pm with a Liturgical Wake Service at 5pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Timothy Piasecki at 11am on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 430 E. Downer Place in Aurora, followed by entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Aurora.
