Dorothy J. Hively

Dorothy J. Hively, 75 of Aurora, passed away Saturday September 9, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Columbia City, Indiana on February 3, 1948; daughter of Vern and Phyllis (Corbin) Montz. She was employed as a Social Worker for Aurora West School district 129 for over 30 years. Dorothy enjoyed reading, fishing, gardening but most of all, spending time with family and friends. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bob, her son Ryan, a sister, Nancy Minick, a brother Alan (Brenda) Mc Learn-Montz and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Dorothy is preceded in death, by her parents, and a brother John (Connie) Montz.  Family will be receiving guests Wednesday September 13, 2023 from 3pm until the time of service at 7pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway in Montgomery.  Burial will take place in Indiana at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital are appreciated.
