Douglas D. “Sully” Sullivan, 96, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 14, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 12, 1921 in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Thomas and Avis (Bogenschneider) Sullivan.  In 1945 he married the love of his life, Margaret Jane King, and together they enjoyed raising their family of 6 children. He proudly served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant and was a member of the Military Police.  Following his time in the service, he attended The University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in accounting, and continued a long and enjoyable career as a CPA.  He was a long time member of St Anne’s Catholic Church in Oswego. He enjoyed reading, fishing and golfing. He and Janie vacationed in Gulf Shores, AL and St. Germaine, WI and it was there that they made so many wonderful memories together. He will be deeply missed but there is peace in knowing he will now spend eternity with his beloved wife.

He is survived by his 6 children, Dennis Sullivan, Kathy (the late Marty) Stack, Joan (Greg) Kaleel, Brian (Deborah) Sullivan, Kerry (Barry) Orgeron, and Thomas (Dawn) Sullivan; 1 sister, Ruth Seldal; 14 grandchildren, Courtney and Ryan Stack, Alex, Natalie and Jenna Kaleel, Megan (Ryan) Joyner, Caitlan and Eileen Sullivan, Zach (Raquel) Price, Lindsey Price, Cameron Orgeron, Connor, Colleen and Christopher Sullivan; and 4 great grandchildren. Doug is preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife of 68 years, Margaret “Janie” Sullivan. 

Family will be receiving guests Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL.  Funeral Mass Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM, St Anne’s Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Association, National Office, 225 N.
