Eduard Weigelmann

Eduard Weigelmann, 93, of Aurora, IL passed away peacefully on August 30, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born on December 27, 1929 in Ukraine the son of Rudolf and Helene (Wittmeier) Weigelmann. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Aurora, IL. On June 15, 1957 he married Anneliese Richter and they recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Eduard is survived by his wife Anneliese; children, Elizabeth (Gerald) Bumgarner, and Reynold (Denise) Weigelmann; 3 grandchildren, Dr. Derek (Angela) Bumgarner, and Amy and Reid Weigelmann; great-grandson Nathan Borntraeger; 3 sisters Elsa Schuon, Lydia Schoenbein and Martha Upton and one brother Fritz Weigelmann. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ewald Weigelmann, sister, Alma Schmalz and four siblings in infancy during the war.

Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 Pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 550 4th Ave. Aurora, IL. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family for a memorial that will be established.
