Esperanza Ugalde

Esperanza Ugalde, 67, of North Aurora, IL was called to come home and be with the Lord, on Saturday, May 2, 2020 resulting of complications of COVID-19.  She passed away at her home, where she was always surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on August 1, 1952, in Michoacán, Mexico. The daughter of the late Cipriano Zavala and Guadalupe Murillo.  She married Ricardo Ugalde 43 years ago on a Christmas Day.  Esperanza, dedicated her life to her Catholic faith, raising her 4 children, and taking care of her 5 grandchildren.  She enjoyed dancing and singing during family parties.  She especially loved dancing to cumbias and cooking for those she loved. Family was the most important thing in life for Esperanza.  She had a smile that would light up the room and radiate the kind spirit that she had.  She was also a long time Chicago Cub fan.

Esperanza, is survived by her husband, Ricardo Ugalde; her mother, Guadalupe Murillo; mother in law Margarita Gutierrez and children Erika (Daniel Iniguez), Alfredo (Griselda Ugalde), Alexander, Estrella (Miguel Ramirez).

Esperanza, is also survived by 5 lovely granddaughters of whom she loved dearly, Rebeka Iniguez, Ivette Ugalde, Ashley Ugalde, Katie Iniguez and Alyssa Ugalde.  She is also survived by her sister and brothers, Hector Zavala (Malena), Agustin Zavala (Marisol), Dora Martinez (Alfonso), Martin Zavala (Martha), Arturo Zavala (Veronica), Javier Zavala (Ramona).  She also had many dear friends and other extended family who will also miss her dearly.

Due to the current restrictions, a private family service will be held at Dieterle Memorial Home with private burial to honor the beautiful life of Esperanza. The family plans on a memorial mass at a future date. In lieu of flowers contributions and condolences can be made in her name and sent to Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. They  will be forwarded to the family.
