Esther Louise Meade, 77, of Sandwich, IL formerly of Aurora, IL passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family.   She was born December 22, 1944 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Milton and Susie (Babbitt) Nichols. 

She graduated from East Aurora High School and married the love of her life, Claude E. Meade on September 9, 1966 in Aurora. After working for many years, she decided to become a caring, loving stay at home mom to their three daughters. Eventually she became a generous and devoted grandmother and great grandmother, known as Gi-Gi. 

Esther is survived by her husband, Claude; 3 daughters,  Angela Meade of Sandwich, Dana (Todd) Heggemeier of Joliet and Kara (Omar) Perez of Sandwich; 6 grandchildren, Amanda (Dominique) Jay, Brianne (Karl Behrends) Monehan, Joshua Monehan, Antonio, Ava and Alex Perez; 1 great granddaughter, LeyLa and another great granddaughter on the way.  She is also survived by two sisters, Marlene Balog and Susan Alden; 2 brothers, Kenny Nichols and Wally Nichols and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister, Gloria Kittoe and 2 brothers, Ronnie Nichols and Gene Nichols.
