ETTA LOVENA SHARP(JINES) FEBRUARY 13, 1929-OCTOBER 21, 2018. ETTA LOVENA SHARP, 89, OF OSWEGO, IL PASSED AWAY AT BICKFORD OF OSWEGO ON OCTOBER 21, 2018. ETTA WAS BORN FEBRUARY 13, 1929 IN RAVENDEN, AR, THE DAUGHTER OF JASPER PAUL JINES & INA REVA (LAWRENCE) JINES. WHILE HER DADDY WAS GONE TO GET HER GRANDMOTHER TO HELP WITH THE DELIVERY SHE COULDN'T WAIT.  SHE WAS DELIVERED BY A NEIGHBOR WHO HAD STOPPED BY FOR A VISIT. SHE WAS RAISED ON THE FAMILY FARM WHERE HER DADDY TAUGHT HER THE BENEFITS OF HARD WORK . SHE ATTENDED MANNING SCHOOL WHERE SHE WENT THROUGH THE 8TH GRADE.  HER MOTHER TAUGHT HER WHEN SHE WAS UNABLE TO ATTEND DUE TO HER BAD HEALTH.  THIS INCLUDED HER TALENTS FROM GARDENING,  COOKING & QUILTING, TO HER "NUMBERS". SHE WENT TO THE SAME SCHOOL AS W.T.(DUB) SHARP UNTIL HE LEFT FOR THE ARMY. WHEN HE RETURNED FROM THE SERVICE HE SAW HER AT A PARTY & HAD TO ASK WHO SHE WAS. SHE WAS 7 YEARS YOUNGER THAN HIM & HAD GROWN UP WHILE HE HAD BEEN GONE. THEY MARRIED FEBRUARY 22, 1947 AFTER A SHORT COURTSHIP. THEY LIVED IN OKLAHOMA WHILE DUB WAS IN THE SERVICE & FOR A SHORT TIME IN ST. LOUIS, MO. THEN ON A SMALL FARM IN IMBODEN , AR. THEIR SON EDDIE WAS BORN IN 1950.THEIR DAUGHTER PAMELA IN 1953. THEY SOLD PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING AT AUCTION IN 1957 & MOVED TO AURORA, IL FOR WORK. LOVENA WORKED FOR SIMPSON ELECTRIC IN AURORA AS A LINE GIRL FOR OVER 15 YEARS. SHE ALSO WORKED AT SUNNYMERE RETIREMENT HOME AS A COOK &  FOR HAYDENS SPORTS. SHE RETIRED IN 1984. THEY MOVED TO NORTH AURORA IN 2002. THEY HAD BEEN MARRIED 56 YEARS WHEN HE PASSED IN 2003. ETTA IS SURVIVED BY HER SON EDDIE(GUYLA) SHARP OF YORKVILLE & HER DAUGHTER PAMELA (DENNIS) THIBAULT OF NEWARK; FIVE GRANDCHILDREN; CHRISTINA (JEREMY) MESSERSMITH OF YORKVILLE, JONATHAN (JULIE) SHARP OF VOLO, BRANDICE SHARP OF YORKVILLE, JUSTIN (DAYLE) THIBAULT OF SHERIDAN & JORDAN THIBAULT OF MILLINGTON. TEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; CAMERON, BRANT, GARRETT & GRAYSON ENGLISH, KODY & BRYNN MESSERSMITH, AMELIA & KARA SHARP & RAELYNN & RYKER THIBAULT. A SISTER, MADGE(HAROLD) ERVIN OF PENNSYLVANIA & NUMEROUS NIECES & NEPHEWS.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, HER PARENTS, TWO SISTERS AND TWO BROTHERS. A LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMA, SISTER & FRIEND, SHE WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED.  Family will be receiving guests Thursday October 25, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery.  A graveside service will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park, Friday October 26, 2018 at 11:00 am , Rt 30 & Rt 34, in Aurora.
